The girl on me then breathed heavily. She then grew furs and the structure of her body changed. Her teeth sunk deeper into my flesh.

I kicked her away from me. I can felt the hot red liquid spring out from the wound...its hurt… Just when I want to run away from ‘her’, my shoulder got caught by the bloody werewolf.

Must be because I haven’t fully recovered yet, my senses are not sharp enough. Just when I want to cut off its head, it’s reaction is out of my expectation.

It bit my neck and tried tearing it off my head. My pupils widened, this can be a major injury and it could cause me death.

Blood splashed all over the room. I tried to stop the bleeding with my hand but it was useless. I can feel the blood flowing down through my fingers.

I didn’t hesitated using my special technique to cut it into pieces. The werewolf can only saw me become a few shadow swings around. It tries to catch the shadow but it keeps miss it. The shadow just like non-material object, unable to neither touch nor catch.

“Sakura Move” hur? I never guess I would use it in the mission.

“Sakura Move” is actually a technique without pattern and is hard to catch it movement. Suddenly the shadow move in high speed and the next moment the werewolf had become pieces. Just when I’m blaming myself for careless I think my stomach is ‘empty’…

I had totally ignored ‘her’…the girl…I look down at my stomach and saw a finger coming through it. The sudden redraw of ‘her’ finger made me vomit blood.

Blood…blood everywhere…my blood?

I didn’t remember how I killed ‘her’ nor did I kill ‘her’? Blood kept on flowing out from my body, my energy was drained out together with them.

I don’t know how long I walked but I know I came out from the camp. I know although I can’t see anything but I felt the wind which blew on my face. I kept on walking and explosion happened right behind me.

I can feel the heat and the pieces of the building flying past me. I can finally go home, back to Takashi’s family.

I can have a nice sleep, take a bath, chat with Chii and Masahara… I must go back.

But my legs didn’t allow me to do so. I fell on the ground…

I’m…home?

NINJA'S AGE 5

Humans are weaker than werewolves, the camp is full of traps but being compared to the werewolves and the Takeshi family’s training, it was just a piece of cake.

With a somersault done to avoid the laser gun, once again my hand is cover with blood. I can hear those scientists beg for mercy but I ignored them. No emotions and sympathy should be carried during the mission.

I then passed by a room which captured my attention. I walked into the room. It is an experiment laboratory. There are many tubes arranged nicely there. The lab’s walls and floor are white in colour. You may mistake that you are in the hospital.

It looks peaceful and quiet but these are all bullshit! Once you take a close look in the tube, you can find a human body part is immersed in every tube.

Fingers, eyes, nose, heart, guts, ears, kidneys and even human’s head. This just makes me want to throw up. In the inner part there are larger tubes and kids are each immersed in a tube.

I was shocked to see a cage at the inner most of the lab. A werewolf is chewing on the flesh of a kid. Its mouth and body are covered with blood and so is the floor and wall.

On the floor, I can see many kids’s dead body but I can’t actually tell how many are there, because it was all in a mess. The bodies are tore to pieces.

So … this is what the scientists do here right? My mind then flashed through the faces of them begging me…I’m angry now!

The werewolf growled and I just ignore it.

This time no obstacles can stop me. I reached the generator room. It was noisy there. I quickly set up a time bomb.

OK!

I have 10 minutes to get out from here. Just when I’m turning to leave, the girl that took me here appeared in my sight.

“I’m hungry…”

Something wrong… she shouldn’t be here… Just then the girl’s eyes turn red and once again she said it with a totally different voice.

“I’m hungry!!!”

She then threw herself on me and she bit my arm.

“Aaaa…Aaaa…”

It just grieves to the extent of wishing to die.

I tried to push her away but I can’t. How come? Just then I heard the sound of metal being bended, things falling on the floor and something running towards here.

I can hear growling sounds…Oh my god! Don’t tell me werewolves are going to appear during this moment of truth. I didn’t guess wrongly, the werewolf in the cage appeared.

-Beran-Adopted Child-IV-

Where am I? What happened to me? The last thing I remember was I was chased by many werewolves. Ya… I’m running. I can remember clearly their claw clawing though my flesh. Blood flow out… keep on flowing…

Then… what next?

I ran unintentionally toward a cliff, no choice but to fight back. Just when I wanted to draw out my sword, a claw with great speed clawed against me.

I think I got knocked back and I think I fell from the cliff…Ya… that’s what happened to me … but am I still alive?

I tried to move my body but I found out every inch of my muscles are in great pain and I gave out a small moaning.

“So you are awake?”

My pain ignoring in the body, I hop up and wanted to draw out my sword again. To my surprise, my sword was not with me.

“Are you looking for this?”

It’s a girl? A girl about 6 to 8 years old? How can a girl be here? She wore a white shirt, those which they let the experimental product wear… is she one of the experimental products of these crazy scientists?

Silently, I had my eyes meet with hers, she seems to not know anything about the word ‘dangerous’ and looked at me with sincere eyes.

She made me remember my sister, who is not in this world anymore… they look alike. After some talking was done with her, I think she escaped from the camp.

She wants me to take her along. As a ninja who is on mission, this is no allowed. But base on personal affection, I brought her with me. She seems to remember the way to the camp, so we are now on the way there.

I feel weird because since then, no werewolves appeared again. But this is good news for me since I can’t fight in good condition in the mean time.

On the 25th day, we finally reached the scientists’ camp. This time I really have to leave the girl alone. I can’t bring her with me to set up the bomb.

I told her to stay in a shelter where I made for her. If every thing goes well, we can go ‘home’ by tomorrow morning.

‘Home’…
